Mr. Routson came to PSA in 2011 as Senior Vice President and Team Leader of the PSA Risk Solutions Group. Craig's broad experience in all areas of property and casualty risk management includes forming self-insurance pools, captive management, affinity group insurance programs, international risks and the worldwide placement of difficult professional and product liability risks.
Craig has spent over 25 years in the property and casualty insurance field. After his early years as a casualty underwriter and subsequently as an independent consultant, Craig spent over two decades with institutional insurance brokerage firms, including serving as the Managing Director of the Baltimore/DC office of Marsh McLennan. He has been the senior insurance advisor to such organizations as Bell Atlantic Corporation, The City of Baltimore, The Archdiocese of Baltimore and the Multinational Force and Observers. Prior to joining the PSA team, Craig served as the Executive Vice President Director of Eastern Operations at METRO/RISK, which was later acquired by Edgewood Partners Insurance Center.
A graduate of the American University in Washington, D.C., Craig also holds a degree from the University of Baltimore School of Law. He is a member of the Governor of Maryland's Executive Advisory Council, serves on the Governor's Select Advisory Panel and the Panel on Insurance Fraud. He is on the Board of Directors of Center Stage in Baltimore, and the International Board of Directors of the African Fund for Endangered Wildlife in Nairobi, Kenya.
