Professional Background Ms. Meliker specializes in long term care (group and individual) and in employee benefits, including health, dental, vision, life, disability and voluntary benefits, for groups of all sizes. Before coming to PSA in 2006, she was the owner for 18 years of MTM Insurance Associates Inc. Previous to that she was an independent broker and worked as an agent and then district manager for Banker’s Insurance. Ms. Meliker also brings to her benefits work a first hand knowledge of the medical field, having served early in her career as a registered radiologic technologist and a registered nurse/psychotherapist. Ms. Meliker is licensed in health, life, property and casualty. She teaches continuing education courses for the Maryland Insurance Commission, serves as a guest lecturer to many different groups and is a guest speaker on numerous radio shows. Business/Customer Service Philosophy “My mission is to educate my clients-both individual and group-on all the options available in the marketplace so that we can determine together which carriers and products best suit their needs. “Beyond education, I feel that it is all about service. Anyone with a license can sell insurance, but it takes a true professional and specialist to provide creative, cost effective solutions. I believe in providing hand-holding service, which means that I’m always available when my clients have a question or a concern.”
