Amy Levey Partners with PSA to Support Athletes Serving Athletes

At PSA, we admire the dedication of individuals and nonprofit organizations who work tirelessly to make the world a better place. With that being said, on a quarterly basis, we encourage our employees to nominate a nonprofit foundation of their choice to be considered as the recipient of our employee charitable fund donations. The 2023 third quarter recipient of the funds is the Athletes Serving Athletes nonprofit organization nominated by Amy Levey, Manager of PSA’s Client Advocate team.

Athletes Serving Athletes (ASA) was founded in 2007 to provide individuals with limited-to-no-mobility an opportunity to compete in mainstream running events. The nonprofit works to elevate the quality of life for individuals with limited mobility by empowering them to break down barriers of inaccessibility that still exist today. ASA is devoted to embracing inclusivity by connecting ASA Athletes to runners in the community through their Wingman Program, a leadership program that develops social and emotional skills through team bonding and trust building activities. Together, as a team, they train, participate in races, and cross the finish line.

Amy Levey nominated Athletes Serving Athletes after seeing and hearing how the nonprofit has impacted the lives of her long-term friend and her severely disabled daughter. Amy’s friend, who has always loved to run, was introduced to ASA and began to share one of her true passions with her daughter. Since then, the two have trained and participated in runs along with her daughter’s Wingman team.
