Professional Background 

Albert Lietzau IV, joined PSA as part of the H.U. Dove acquisition in April 2020. Leveraging his extensive property and casualty insurance, at PSA, he help clients in a commercial insurance producer role.

He along with his late father, Albert E. Lietzau III, purchased H.U. Dove & Company, Inc. of Baltimore in 1991. In the past 29 years, Al has directed the independent insurance agency to be licensed in numerous states to provide insurance protections for commercial, institutional, and residential clients. He has over 35 years of knowledge and practice working with various insurance and brokerage firms. He demonstrates expertise in areas of property and causality insurance, commercial insurance, professional and legal liability, and liability analysis.  

Previous to his role at H.U. Dove & Company, in 1987Al served as an Account Execute for Tongue, Brooks, & Company of Baltimore where he facilitated larger commercial properties and casualty clients. His other professional positions include serving as a broker for Derek Bryant Insurance Brokers, Ltd. in London and as an all-line commercial property and casualty underwriter for the Maryland Casualty Company.  

Al is an active member within his Baltimore community and holds numerous leadership positions among insurance organizations. He had previously served on the Executive Committee of the Independent Insurance Agents of Maryland trade association. Al is the Board Chairman for Augsburg Lutheran Home and Village, a retirement community, and has held multiple Board level positions with other non-profit organizations within the Baltimore area 

Education  

Al has earned the Associate In Underwriting (AU) and the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designations from The Institutes, Malvern, PA. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Loyola University Maryland for Business Administration.
