Retirement Plan Consultant
Jake Vogelsang joined the company as a Retirement Plan Consultant for the Fiduciary Consulting Group. He is a Relationship Manager responsible for overall service delivery to various assigned client accounts.His areas of specialty are selection and monitoring of mutual and commingled fund investments for DB and DC plans, DB and DC plan trust administration, and general use and design of non-qualified supplemental retirement plans, especially rabbi trusts.
Jake has 20 years of experience in the retirement industry. Most recently, he worked as Regional Director with Wells Fargo. Prior to becoming Regional Director, he was a Relationship Manger, was hired to open Wells Fargo’s new Institutional Trust office in Atlanta and a Business Development Office with Wachovia.
Education and Community Involvement
Jake graduated from Lehigh University School of Business and Wake Forest Graduate School of Business (MBA). He has obtained the CIMA, QPFC and AIF designations. He is a member of IMCA, ASPPA, and NAPA.
Jake and his family serve dinner at The Baltimore Station, a housing facility primarily for disabled veterans. He enjoys trail running, golf, backpacking, camping, pencil sketching, and playing acoustic guitar and harmonica.
Business/Customer Service Philosophy
I try to keep it simple. The reality is that there are two questions in client service: “What’s best for the client?” and “What’s right for our business?” If I focus on getting the first one right, I’ve already taken care of the second.
