PSA’s Commitment to Technology Takes Staff to Cloudforce 2012

Hunt Valley, MD – October 22, 2012 – On Friday, October 19th, PSA Insurance & Financial Services chartered a bus to take 52 PSA employees, including leadership, account executives, operational managers, accounting, marketing and human resources to and from New York City to attend Cloudforce, a regional convention for Salesforce.com users.
PSA made the decision to roll out Salesforce.com in May 2011 because we saw the extraordinary potential this cloud based platform would provide as a contact database, a way to manage workflows, and a way to connect and collaborate with all of our contacts, inside and outside of PSA. More than ever, PSA is strongly committed to this platform on which it will build the “next generation” insurance and financial services firm.
Our purpose for attending the Cloudforce conference was to expose as many of our employees as possible to the possibilities created by running our enterprise on the powerful Salesforce.com platform. We want every employee at PSA to be empowered to use this flexible and dynamic system to think of new and better ways to serve our clients.
The Cloudforce experience gave insight into the capabilities of the Salesforce.com application as well as examples of how firms large and small are using it. Many of our people were excited to see that some of the world’s most prominent brands, including Toyota, NBCUniversal and General Electric, use the same platform to run their enterprises as we use at PSA. Although many of the sessions focused on the largest companies the reality is that size does not matter – innovation and execution matters. PSA’s Director of IT, Andrew Bartels, was asked to present on PSA’s implementation of Salesforce alongside Alliance Bernstein and Deutsch Bank at the “Business is Social: Financial Services” session.
PSA leadership believes that by having its employees attend a conference like Cloudforce the company as a whole will have better insight into its business and the future which in turn helps PSA be a better partner.
